On David Beckham’s arm is a tattoo of a Hebrew phrase that reads: "I am my beloved and my beloved is mine." The soccer star who alleges to be half-Jewish has now snuck his beloved three-year-old son Cruz past the bearded sentinels of one of the most prestigious and largest Jewish day schools in the country.
Upon moving to L.A., Beckham and wife Posh Spice came to the conclusion that a private education for Cruz was within their means. And although they say they don’t plan to raise Cruz Jewishly, that doesn’t mean the kid can’t learn early on to spin a dreidel and balance his checkbook.
“Cruz” – ??? Pronounced so it sounds like “cruise” or that it rhymes with “fuzz”? Somebody plug me in here.
